Doesn`t read sd card in camera I have a Mac and a Nikon D90 camera.I hooked up the camera to the computer as I always do, turned it on.Your software did not recognize the sd card in the camera.So now, if I want to use your software, I must purchase a separate card reader.This doesn't work for me. RecordPad is a very good little tool, but since I was trying to save an audio streaming youtube, it was unable to capture the audio information as the youtube file played. Other than that, RecordPad is perfect for all other audio-capturing applications. I probably didn't do enough research about what RecordPad offered when I selected it, or otherwise didn't understand that it couldn't collect streaming audio. My bad.Or, perhaps your literature can better reflect this? Or perhaps you'll consider allowing streaming audio capture in a different RecordPad? Does what it says on the tin Where GarageBand falls down (as with all Apple Software) is that it isn't very good at exporting to standard file formats, so you cannot record and save something in MP3 or WAV format. It is therefore useless for recording vocals or a live mix. great, simple sound recorded While I am a professional sound guy, my Dad isn't. He needed a simple, easy to use Mac OS X voice recorder, and this is just about perfect. Only complaint is that the playlist window does not remember it's position from one launch to the next.

Missing a key feature My use requires an app to run in the background and do the following:(1) based on non-silence encountered, create new audio file and record.(2) based on silence for a user-defined duration, close opened audio file

Not for me The program does not differentiate what is coming through the sound card and what the computer mike picks up -- the program lays down both in the audio tracks. Not helpful to have room noises in a recording.

It's a decent program. I am glad that it works for my Power Macintosh, and not just for the Intel Mac. Thanks for a "stellar" demo of a product.

Written by PC users for PC users As an OS X application, this is utter rubbish.Besides the interface looking like a cheap'n'nasty PC app port, the application required me to enable the root user - something I haven't needed to do since Mac OS X 10.0.Furthermore, if I wanted to recover MAC data I'd look in System Profiler or use ifconfig.

RAID compatibility I downloaded this program to see if I could access a RAID that was connected via Fibre Channel. The software did not work in my case as I could not see the RAID.

I was very pleased when i first downloaded the software. It did everything i wanted for a matter of a few hours. Then it began crashing. Everytime i tried to retrieve my saved files, and edit them they wouldn't appear. I removed and reinstalled the software, with the same result. There is a major glitch in this audio editor program. This would have been my new editing program if worked properly.

The program is easy to use and has some great features but all the files I saved seem to have been corrupted and wouldn't open again or play in any program. If the program worked completely it would be perfect for my needs.

I downloaded the software three separate times, and each time Wavepad didn't work. I'm running OS X v10.4.11 on my MacBook Pro (Intel CPU). No dice. I was disappointed.

Seems like a good program but I was looking for a WMA editor and this does not recognize these files. Maybe next time.

This program is really helpful. I\'m a student studying medical transcription from home and needed something to slow down the dictations from the CDs in the program. This program works great for that and the area to transcribe within the program saves a lot of trouble. I am working without a foot pedal, and the ability to set hot keys however you want is great. I would recommend!

I didn\'t put enough time into using this to get proficient, and so it wasn\'t that helpful. I was looking for something that would loop a small segment--say, 10 seconds or so--several times and then move on to a slightly overlapping segment, but couldn\'t figure out how to do that. I know if I had put the time in, though, I probably would love this product.

After searching and trying out several transcription programs, I found exactly what I needed in Express Scribe. It is great! Easy to use and completely functional for my purposes. :)

A lifesaver! This program is fantastic! It loaded with ease on my MAC. I am a student learning Medical Transcription through an at-home study program. One issue/question is how to get it to load Tracks from training CDs in the proper order.They load with the single digit number before the same two-digit number tracks (EX: 1,11,12,13,...2,21,22,23,,,3,31,32,33... instead of the numerical order). I don't know if I can move the downloaded "file" or in this case Track. When I use the usual key strokes for selecting and trying to move it, it does not work. does what it is supposed to do I have not worked with other transcription programs, so I cannot compare. This software works as advertised, and I am quite pleased with it. I particularly like the variable playback speeds and the text area, which saves me from shifting back and forth between the player controls and a document in a different program.

OUTSTANDING PROGRAM I've been using Express Transcription for Mac for a week or so now. I use it to transcribe interviews of country music celebrities. Up until now, most of the transcription work has fallen upon someone else...but recently I'm being asked to do more and more. I've been using an analog tape cassette machine, and I knew there had to be something better. A little search on the internet, and voila!
